Praying for revival and our country, no one would say that this is a bad thing. My concern is what is it pointing to? Is it possible to take wholesome things and use them to direct to ministries that may not be so wholesome?

I stress this because of something that I feel very strongly in my spirit. I believe that we will see the wheat and the tares together at the time of the harvest. The tares are sown among the wheat for one purpose only: to cause a coma in those not diligent enough to watch what they consume.

What revival in history ever pointed to such effeminate and emasculating things as some of these ministries? Walking through an arch, "marrying" Jesus? How far of a throw to gold dust and barking?

It strikes me as odd that some of these people claim to want revival but they certainly do not want revival preaching. They are very ready to accept repentance for others- the nation's sin, abortion, etc. But what of their own or the excesses of their own sect? They will not give a true prophet a platform for calling for repentance because they themselves would have to repent.

Funny how a movement that is called "prophetic" could be so devoid of anything resembling a biblical prophet. They claim the office because they have uttered a "prophecy"? To this I say, Is Saul also among the prophets?

Jc: Thanks for commenting brother.

"Some of their talk is really strange. Come and divorce Baal and remarry the Lord?"

I Agree. However, I have read some of their material before and what they are talking about is similar to what you and I have said several times. We must turn away from the humanistic culture and give our total allegiance to Jesus and no others.

The scripture they cite is Hosea 2:16-20:
"In that day, declares the Lord, You will call me 'my husband'...I will remove the names of the Baals from their lips;..."

I agree with you- "Revival is coming in the least expected places...those places where man can not take the glory." -Amen brother.

Revival will not begin in a stadium but they are hoping that 100,000 people praying and interceding for it might help usher it in. Also, they believe that the Lord has inspired them to sponsor The Call in some major cities across the country.

Lou Engle and some of the folks in KC MO may promote some 'bridal' symbolism that we may not entirely appreciate, however TheCall goes way beyond these folk and there is a sovereign character to it. Pray about it and you'll see what I mean.

I Took the following from their website @ www.thecall.com/ :

"The Call is not an event. The Call is a movement emphasizing prayer, worship and fasting for Spiritual breakthrough. It is a nameless and faceless movement joining the generations. Therefore, it will not be marketed as a convention of celebrities. The primary participants are young people. The musicians on stage are to be worshippers, not entertainers. The board of directors will not receive financial compensation, and speakers and leaders come at their own expense.

People should prayerfully consider fasting on the day that The Call gathering is in their city, region, or nation; no food will be provided. The Call is a grassroots movement. It is a cross-cultural and cross-denominational gathering. The Call espouses these definitive values: worship, unity, prayer, fasting, follow-up, transformation, repentance, reconciliation, impartation, equipping, revival, and a holy revolution."

Some of their talk is really strange. Come and divorce Baal and remarry the Lord? Whatever happened to the marriage feast of the Lamb at the end of the age?
Revival is coming but not at Engle's call. Revival is coming in the least expected places, places where God has moved in the hearts of our fathers. Watch the backwoods and out-of-the-way places the rest of this year, those places where man can not take the glory.
