Election: The People Have Spoken–Now What?

the 44th President of the United States...Bara...

Yesterday the American electorate spoke loud and clear in their choice of a new President in an historic election. Now what?

It is time to pray for a new leader:

Our Heavenly Father, we pray first for protection over our new President-Elect Barack Obama.

Second, we pray that you will bless him with your Spirit and anoint him with the wisdom of Solomon as he begins to set in place a new administration. Magnify his abilities as he begins to address and solve the many problems currently facing this great nation.

Third, let the healing begin and inspire him to rise up and be an agent of reconciliation and unity.

Last and most important, surround him with godly men and let him draw closer to you in the process. Let him realize his own limitations and reach out for your inspiration, your Word, your Grace, and let him be strengthened by your Fathers love.

    In Jesus name, Amen.
