Jesus said, "If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and come and follow Me." The Apostle Paul said, "Jesus suffered and left us an example that we should follow in His footsteps." The American church is the only church in this world that thinks they won't have to stand during persecution or tribulation. Yet, Jesus gave us a word that in this world we would have tribulation, but be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. He also said, "If the world hated Me, it will hate you. The servant is not greater than his Master." Christians all over the world die or are tortured for their faith on a daily basis. The Chinese Christians pray for American Christians that we will have persecution so we can grow up in God and not remain spotted by the world. The brother that wrote he saw no instruction or hope in David Wilkerson's urgent message missed a major portion of that message. Like Noah, David was told to lay up some provisions for a certain period of time. David also counseled us to listen for God's voice and grow as close to the Father as possible. He also said that God would protect His own. He said we don't have to run away, but to stand still and see the salvation of our God. Unless God does something to "help" His people come out from among them and be separate, we will stay mired in this wickedness that has overtaken our country. A country by the way, that used to extoll the virtue's of our heavenly Father. Some time ago while I was crying out to God to please turn this country around, even if He had to do it for His own name's sake, He spoke to my heart, just as He in former times spoke to Jeremiah's heart. "Don't pray for this people for their good any longer. I am going to begin a burning that will devastate this land. But I will look after my own, if they will trust me and listen to my voice." It's time for the church to read the word of God and realize that persecution and tribulation are not abnormal for God's people to walk thru. It is purifying.
