(Bishop Schori by Fishbowl Collective via Flickr)
ANAHEIM, CA – Episcopal Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori says it’s "heresy" to teach that an individual can be saved through a sinner’s prayer of repentance. Here are some comments that Bishop Schori made at the opening of the Episcopal General Conference on Wednesday:
"the great Western heresy: that we [...]

When asked by judge Perez Hilton whether she believed in gay marriage, Miss California–Carrie Prejean replied:

Easter: Facts About The Resurrection of Jesus
Here’s a great article by William Lane Craig, professor of philosophy at Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, California.
This is one of the best summaries that I’ve ever found of all the important facts concerning the resurrection of Jesus–all on one page too:
“To answer the question of Jesus’ resurrection from a historical [...]

Is Anointing More Important than Character?
I just read the current Fire in My Bones article by J. Lee Grady: “No More Monkey Business in the Ministry“. It is truly amazing how this article continues along the same line of the post I wrote yesterday. Grady documents a few more that boldly continue in the ministry in spite of major [...]

USA: Out of Wedlock Births hit 40%
US out of wedlock births now exceed 40%. A real indicator that the nation and the dominant culture is headed at full steam away from Biblical Christianity or so it would seem. Unfortunately, I would imagine that the statistics for the American Church are only slightly better.
It is amazing to [...]

End-Times: Two Sides of the Coin
(-Jerusalem via Wikipedia)
There are two articles that I read this last week which address an ‘end-times’ scenario from entirely different perspectives.
The first is an article I found today on WorldNetDaily: "Zero hour approaches" by Hal Lindsey.
Hal does what he is best at identifying how events in the Middle East are quickly progressing towards an [...]

Merry Christmas! May God Bless You and Yours This Christmas.
THE CHRISTMAS STORY:
The Christmas story is found in Matthew (1:18-2:18) and in Luke (1:26-56, 2:1-40). However, Isaiah should never be ignored:
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Is. 7:14)
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be [...]
