Abby Abildness, founder of Healing Tree International, leads a team of prayer ministers in a weekly healing prayer service at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and has for the past six years. According to Abby:

"Combining healing prayer with medical care can bring God’s healing care to society around the world.”

Abildness said that she took God at His Word that He is the God who heals and now she is taking the power of prayer—to those in need who are at the hospital both the staff and patients.

According to the article about this ministry here’s how it works:

The hospital makes an announcement over the PA system every Friday at 11:45 a.m. that a healing prayer service is taking place in the chapel. When patients, family members (and sometimes hospital staff) arrive, a team of prayer ministers is there to meet them. They simply ask for prayer for divine direction or wisdom in making the right healthcare choices. According to Abildness, lives are transformed and healings take place.

Healing Tree International, headquartered at the historical Londonderry Inn Bed and Breakfast, Hershey, Pa. The group also offers healing prayers weekly on Wednesday morning at the Inn.

Abby Abildness has just finished writing a new book which will come out soon:  “God’s Original Healthcare Plan.”  The book documents the successes of  her ministry group and provides a blueprint for establishing a healing prayer ministry in hospitals and for working along with medical professionals to provide total healing for patients.

Response: This is an example of marketplace ministry that God is initiating through his Holy Spirit all across this country. Most of it is under the radar right now and most in the Christian community are not fully aware of all of the stuff that is going on and being initiated by fellow Christians. This is what I call ‘the seeds of revival’ that are just beginning to sprout.

At some point it is going to expand just like popcorn. The fire gets hot and melts the butter and it seems to take for ever before a few kernels pop. Then a few more explode and then all of a sudden hundreds are popping all at once. That is the way this ‘Thy Kingdom Come Revival’ is going to be revealed. Right now just a few kernels are beginning to pop but just you wait!            *Top

-What is Really Behind the Chaos in the Middle East

Ali Khamenei has been the supreme leader of Ir...

           (Ayatollah Khamenei via Wikipedia)

Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, Bahrain, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Libya, now Algeria and more. What is behind the turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa?

The Western media continues to tell us that these folks are all seeking greater freedom but that is a very deceptive and naive view. In reality all of these nations have been in transition for some time with Muslim radical Islamists gaining ground and changing the entire picture of the Middle East.

Western intellectuals continue to talk about Islam as a ‘religion of peace’ that needs to be encouraged to go through some kind of moderate revival or ‘Reformation’ like Christianity went through. So many naively talk about this possibility and totally ignore the fact that Islam is in the midst of a revival all right -a fundamentalist radical revival that is affecting (actually infecting) nearly all Muslims around the world, even those in Western countries including America.

<<Read the whole article on my ANSWERS For The Faith main page>>

Now for what is really behind it all—principalities and powers. There is an unseen battle going on right now in the Heavenlies.  However, the effects of the spiritual battle can be seen also in the natural.

I had an open vision on 9/11/01 during which the Lord told me that the Prince of Islam had exceeded his authority in the attack and that 100 million Muslims were going to be converted to Christ as a ‘first fruits’ and part of a world-wide Christian harvest and revival.

A couple of years later a Muslim leader in Africa was sounding an alarm that according to his figures at the time over 6 million Muslims a year were converting to Christianity in Africa. Since then the persecution of Christians has become rather severe in Muslim areas of Northern Africa.

We have also documented on this blog on a number of occasions that a secret hidden revival was going on in Muslim countries where people were being converted to Christ through dreams, visions, and healings. It has been  substantially a hidden ‘house church’ movement particularly in Iran where as far as we can tell as many as 500,000 Muslims have come to Christ.

In the mean time the enemy has come back with a vengeance and persecution of the traditional churches in Muslim countries have been on the increase. For example, over 500,000 Iraqi Christians have fled the country since the fall of the Saddam regime. American forces have ironically gone out of their way not to be seen as protectors of the Christian community and it has become open season on the traditional Christians in that country.

In Israel, Palestinian Christians are persecuted by both the Muslims and the Jews. The Palestinian Christian community continues to decrease as they leave the country though there has been some reports of Palestinian Muslims secretly coming to Christ. The same can be said of Lebanon where a generation ago the Christian community was strong but after the last civil war between Christian and Muslim militias the Islamists particularly Hezbollah now have the upper hand and Christians have lost control over their own communities in the Southern part of the country.

Turning to Egypt, the Coptic Christians who have been part of that country since the first century and have lived in peace with the Muslims in the same communities for over a thousand years are now being increasingly subjected to persecution and violence. This from the ‘freedom loving’ folks that our press is writing about.  According to a recent poll 84 percent of the Egyptians favor the death penalty for any Muslim who becomes a Christian. Obviously a spiritual battle is raging in that country.

Now for a major example of demonic activity in the natural. Iran’s supreme leader Grand Ayatollah Khamenei is telling his leaders that the hidden ‘12th Imam’ is now appearing to him continually and giving him marching orders. Just this week Iran’s President Ahmadinejad told European leaders and later a major Iranian crowd of supporters that the hidden ‘12th Imam’ was behind all of the current chaos in the Middle East and that it was the beginning of the rise of Islam into one dominant Islamist World power under the leadership of the promised Muslim Mahdi –the Shiite ‘12th Imam’:

"The final move has begun. We are in the middle of a world revolution managed by this dear (12th Imam). A great awakening is unfolding. One can witness the hand of Imam in managing it."

Wow. Obviously it is time for all of us to pray for the Middle East and for Christian revival and harvest to continue especially in Muslim lands. This is particularly a good time for all Christian intercessors to rise up and be heard and come against the plans of the enemy.            *Top

-We Really Need to be Praying for This Guy

Thousands listen to President Barack Obama's r...

          (National Prayer Breakfast via Wikipedia)

Here’s President Obama at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. this morning:

"These past two years they have deepened my faith." …

"My Christian faith then has been a sustaining force for me over these last few years, all the more so when Michelle and I hear our faith questioned from time to time. We are reminded that ultimately what matters is not what other people say about us, but whether we’re being true to our conscience and true to our God."

He then quoted Scripture: "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you, as well.’"

Also according to the article by Elizabeth Tenety the President shared the following:

Shared that he prays "that I might walk closer with God and make that walk my first and most important task."

Called Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) "a brother in Christ."

Characterized his father as "nonreligious" and his mother as spiritual, but not religious.

"I came to know Jesus Christ for myself," while working with faith leaders as a community organizer.

Every morning and night, the president said, "I wait on the Lord," asking for strength and forgiveness.

On the prayers of a father: "As I travel across the country, folks often ask me, what is it that I pray for? And like most of you, my prayers sometimes are general: Lord, give me the strength to meet the challenges of my office. Sometimes they’re specific: Lord, give me patience as I watch Malia go to her first dance, where there will be boys. Lord, have that skirt get longer as she travels to that dance."

We also learn in this article that Florida Pastor Joel Hunter and Potter’s House T.D. Jakes have served as spiritual advisers to the President.

Response: We really need to be praying for this guy. After all Paul was inspired to tell the early Christians to pray for the Roman leaders how much more should we be praying for a fellow Christian even if we don’t agree with his politics- and I disagree personally with almost everything he has done and stood for in the last two years.

Nevertheless, as I have prayed for the President and his family I have become far more sympathetic for the position he is in and have strangely begun to like him personally even though I still disagree with him at nearly every turn.

We live in dangerous times and we really do need the Lord to bless our leaders considering all of the chaotic things that they are facing economically and in the World.

Here are two prophetical messages that include something about the President Obama and a coming governmental/Constitutional crisis in America. Both suggest that we need to be praying for our leaders and be careful about be too negative and uncharitable towards the President:

-Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem Today

The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

Today is the Global Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. Join with millions of Christians around the world today praying for the peace of Jerusalem.

Halloween? No–Reformation Day—a Great Time to Pray for Revival

image On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the door of a church Wittenberg, Germany starting the Reformation of the Church. The enemy likes to use this day for propagating his dark agenda but this is also Reformation Day—a great day to pray for revival.

Generals International Ministry are sponsoring a conference of over 2,000 intercessors today to pray and intercede for this nation. According to Cindy Jacobs the meeting is all about responding to a call of the Spirit to prayer :

"Believers across America are deeply concerned about the state of our nation. Prayer warriors are writing and calling us daily to warn that they feel we are on the verge of something catastrophic in scope coming to the nation."  …

"We’re going to pray for a reformation back to a biblical worldview in our nation, against terrorist attacks, for the economy [and for] the state of the nation."

"We’re not for the donkey or the elephant; we’re for whoever stands up. This is not the time to water down the message. … We definitely feel the Holy Spirit stirring, and we are very concerned for our nation. There is a feeling of sobriety in our country."

The message that some of the prophetic folks around the nation are getting right now is that it is time to pray. What ever else we do today let’s remember to join in prayer continually for this nation and people, and for Revival to flood across America once more.       *Top

Dueling Prayers: Changing the Spiritual Climate of America

Muslim men at Islam on Capitol Hill

(Muslims Praying in Washington DC -by talkradionews via Flickr)

There is a lot of praying going on in America lately. Last week 60,000 or so showed up in New York’s Time square to pray for America. Also 2 million or so students showed up at the flag poles at their schools to pray.

Then last Friday 3,500 Muslims showed up at the Capitol to ‘pray for the soul of America’ while probably hundreds of thousands of Christians were recruited to pray for the Muslims. It was sort of like ‘dueling prayers’ over the future of America.

I don’t believe that any of this is by accident.

I know that many Intercessors across the land have been particularly inspired lately to pray for America like they never have before. In my own home church Pastor Mike asked congregation and the leaders to pray and fast from sundown Sunday through sundown Monday evening (which significantly was on Yom Kippur) for the future of America, for the church and the ministries, and particularly for our area and for revival.

We are beginning a new year on the Biblical calendar and the spiritual climate of America seems to be up for grabs. It really is a time to pray in earnest for the future of America and for the American church.

It is Time to Remember Israel in Prayer

Jerusalem Old City from Mount of Olives.

(Jerusalem via Wikipedia)

For 61 years there have been 57 countries against 1 in the Middle East. For 61 years the USA has supported Israel through good times and bad, war and peace. Like everything else that is happening in the world both economically and politically everything is in flux right now—all the cards have been thrown up in the air and where they land only God knows for sure. Some are talking about an end-time scenario though I personally believe it is somewhat premature but maybe not.

From everything that I’ve read on the subject, the Obama administration is said to be far more supportive of the 57 Muslims countries than of the 1 Jewish state. The President has solicited the help of the Europeans, particularly the British, to negotiate a new 2 state solution for Palestine and Israel. Problem is, the Europeans are also far more supportive of the Muslims and look upon Israel as “the greatest threat to world peace”.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is visiting Washington next week and the word is that there will be considerable arm twisting in order to bring the Israelis around to accept a solution that the 57 Muslims countries will support.

The sticking point is Jerusalem and the Palestinian ‘right to return’.

In the secular eyes of the world, it makes total sense to force Israel to accept a solution. However, those who take the Bible serious will have a different view.

Up in the air for the first time is whether the USA will continue to support Israel regardless. It is doubtful that any Israeli administration would give up Jerusalem and a ‘right to return’ would put millions of Palestinians in the midst of Israeli territory—tantamount to the end for a Jewish state called Israel.

It really is time to pray for Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem–for Prime Minister Netanyahu, for President Obama, and for all the blessings and promises of God concerning Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jewish people to be fulfilled. Amen
