Barack Obama: The Hope for a Nation in Need of Revival?
This post is not about politics, it is about the soul of a nation. Popular politicians are like chameleons who take our temperature and reflect back to us what we want to hear and promise to give us what we think we need. I have been an active observer of the animal for more than [...]

Church Growth a Sign of God’s Approval and Blessing?
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard friends and different Pastors talk about the growth of their church in terms of being a sign that God is blessing them. I’m guilty of that myself on occasion, especially since I’m part of a fast growing Vineyard congregation. Growth does seem to be equated with God’s [...]

Was the volunteer security guard ‘inspired by the Holy Spirit’ when she fired a dozen shots and killed the gunman at Colorado Springs’ New Life Church?:
a female guard with a drawn handgun turned a corner and walked toward the gunman and yelled "Surrender!" Bourbonnais said.
The gunman pointed a handgun at the woman and fired [...]

J.P. Moreland Shakes Up Conference Talking About ‘Bibliolatry"
Talbot Seminary professor J.P. Moreland shook up the recent Evangelical Theological Society conference in San Diego by telling attendees that evangelicals were ‘over-committed’ to the Bible and disregarded other ‘extra-Biblical’ forms of guidance from God. During his address, Dr. Moreland pointed out that evangelical scholars and the movement, as a whole, many times reject:
“…guidance, [...]

The Big Mac Vs. The Ten Commandments?
According to a recent survey, more Americans are familiar with what’s in a Big Mac Hamburger than in the Ten Commandments.
Comment: America needs a revival even more than I ever imagined! Come Holy Spirit.
