Re: A Great Harvest
This devotional was emailed to me today from Charisma +On-line:
Hour of Harvest
Today’s message is from John Arnott.
The scriptures clearly teach that a massive harvest will indeed come in supernaturally during the end times.
Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers [...]

Revival What Ifs: What if John Wesley was Preaching Today?
John Wesley (1703-1791) is said to have preached over 40,000 sermons and traveled more than 250,000 miles (400,000 km). He is most famous for his open-air revival services held in fields and parks throughout Great Britain.
Following an experience at Aldersgate, John believed that God had called him to bring revival to the nation. Thousands [...]

A Charismatic Civil War?
J. Lee Grady in his latest Fire in My Bones column (07-09-08 -"Can We Avoid a Charismatic Civil War?"), notes that we seem to be in the midst of, or heading for, an internal battle within the Charismatic/Pentecostal movement.
He notes that Rick Joyner in his popular prophetic book, The Final Quest, had predicted a [...]

Stillborn Baby Raised from the Dead
Here is the testimony of some teens from North Carolina who went on a ministry trip to Guatemala. In one village they visited in the home of a young woman who had given birth to a still born baby the day before. They proceeded to pray for the dead infant:
"We prayed for thirty to [...]

Revival What Ifs: What if "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" was Preached Today?
Jonathan Edwards preached his famous ‘Great Awakening’ sermon- "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God", on July 8, 1741 at Enfield, Mass. (later Connecticut). When I studied "Sinners…" in seminary it was presented as a bad example of ‘hell fire’ sermons that no modern minister would or should ever dare to preach. In [...]

Revival What Ifs: What If ‘Azusa Street’ Started Today?
This is the first and maybe the last in a series of posts exploring what it might be like if certain revivals started today. Enjoy:
…..If Azusa Street started today:
1. The LA Fire Dept. would shut down the meetings. Too many folks stuffed in a dangerous wooden barn.
2. OSHA would come by and fine [...]

Revival Issues: Preconceptions and Expectations
Jesus and his disciples were healing folks right and left, yet John the Baptist sent some of his group to find out what was up. It was not going the way he had expected: "shall we look for another?"
That is a lot like what is happening at Lakeland. Some folks are being healed and [...]

In Defense of Lakeland
There are tons of critical articles on the Internet about what is happening in Lakeland Florida. Most haven’t been there, some haven’t even seen any of it on TV, yet many feel compelled to give a ‘theological’ opinion anyway.
Found the following articles in defense of Lakeland last weekend but haven’t have the time to [...]

Monday Revival Service- John Crowder
Recently, Vineyard CC Laguna Niguel has begun to have revival services on Sunday and Mondays nights, though what’s happening here cannot be contained in any official service! I went to this Mondays service and was blasted away. The place was nearly filled and there was a real expectancy in the air.
Following worship, pastor Mike Hudgins [...]

An Increase of Healing
In a recent article on Revival Journal, David Copeland of Revival Now Ministries observes:
"This year we have seen a marked increase of anointing for healing as well as the Holy Spirit Baptism."
Amen David. I believe that across America, at least in a lot of ministries that I know of, this is increasingly true in 2008.
