-Revival Report: Move of God in Paris (Not France but Arkansas)

Paris, Arkansas is a town of 3,500 or so and far less famous than the city you all know about in France. First Assembly of God in Paris planned to hold ‘revival’ services beginning in February but God changed the date a gave them the real deal in January instead.

According to Senior Pastor Ken Maness when the new year rolled around he just knew God was about to do something big:

“The Lord just began to move. People were just getting healed. We were just having tremendous services; people getting saved.”

“In modern times I have not witnessed people literally being under so much conviction that they would get up and run to the altar. But we saw that time and time again. Just run, just desperate to get to the altar to give their hearts to God. That was just tremendous.”

Meanwhile folks traveled quite a distance to worship there and experience the outpouring which lasted 11 weeks and culminated with 155 salvations and 114 baptisms in the Holy Spirit. Then according to Pastor Maness the intensity began to wane:

“That convicting power was just not there like it was.”

Though the revival officially ended in April, the Lord continues to move in Paris changing the hearts and lives of many. According to Pastor Maness:

“[The Lord] has brought us, I think, into a time of taking care of the harvest and taking care of the fruit from our revival … I really felt like He spoke to my heart and said and encouraged us as a church … to take care of the fruit of this revival so He can trust us for another outpouring—for future outpourings.”

Response: I envision outpourings like this in communities all across North America. Each one will be somewhat unique and especially designed for that area and some will last longer than others.

This is just one of the first few kernels of revival corn to pop. Eventually there will be moves of God happening in so many places that it will be difficult to keep track of them all. Praise the Lord for small beginnings and unexpected glorious results. *Top

-Revival Among Women Prisoners

According to Daughters of Destiny, the Holy Spirit is on the move in woman’s prisons. In the last year alone, more than 7,500 have made decisions for Christ.

Daughters of Destiny is a prison ministry dedicated to spreading the gospel among women inmates holding Bible studies and evangelism events in 203 detention facilities in 25 states across America. Annie Goebel of Daughters of Destiny told reporters:

“There’s an excitement and fervor for God. In the past, 7 to 10 percent of the inmates at a facility might attend our meetings. Now we’re seeing 30 to 90 percent.”

Her husband Mel Goebel noted:

“We are experiencing revival in women’s prisons through the U.S. We see a movement of repentance, and as a result the women inside are passionate to share their faith with others in prison.”

Kansas City Revival Continues…

World Revival Church in Kansas City, Mo. has been experiencing a continuing revival since May 2, 2008, with hundreds attending 4 services a week. We first posted on this in July.

Now the pastor says that the outpouring is ready to expand globally.

This is not his first experience with a revival–Steve Gray, senior pastor of World Revival Church, led a three-year-long outpouring in Smithton, Mo., a decade ago. Pastor Gray indicates that he is going to do it different this time around. Read the latest. *Top

Revival Report: An Outpouring in Rural Virginia

*Note: "Revival Report" is going to be an ongoing feature of this blog. We have always posted about every sovereign move of God that we came across from the beginning of this blog. In the future we are going to tag every revival ‘sighting’ that we find as a "Revival Report". I am hoping that there will be so many stories of revival breaking out across the country and in the world that it will become difficult to kept up with them all.

*New Report: Revival in Rural Virginia- the "Winchester Outpouring"

The newest report comes to us from rural Virginia, in and around the Winchester, Va.–referred to as the ‘Winchester Outpouring’. Three churches have banded together to share in this move which has been ongoing for the past 4 months. This outpouring has seen many healings and miracles, but best of all they are taking it out of the churches and into the community.

The most interesting feature for me is the involvement of the children in the revival praying for each other and for healing. Pastor Prock reports that children in his kids’ church prayed for one girl with torn ligaments in a knee and the girl ripped off her brace and danced about, claiming healing. Later, in this case, the scheduled surgery was canceled–praise God! *Top
