A state appellate court ruled Friday that parents in California could continue to legally home-school their children even if they don’t have teaching credentials.
The ruling reverses an earlier court decision in February by the 2nd District Court of Appeal which had ruled that those teaching in home-schools needed to be credentialed. This earlier ruling had put some 166,000 students being home-schooled in California in legal jeopardy—including two of my grandchildren.
